The Impact of IPL on Cricket
It took a lot of time for the England players to actually start featuring an IPL regularly. Lalit Modi's brain came up with idea, how it was executed became another matter but most of the rate has to be given to Lalit Modi. We do not see so much of an even contest between back and ball earlier it used to be because the pitches were that way. Now it seems to be because D20 is sort of manufactured a new breed of cricketers who are not able to handle a tough situation either way. So we will just describe its impact on cricket and how it has sort of led to a widespread adoption of a limited range of skills.
