How to Break Into Product Management

I wouldn't say going from management consulting to product management is a particularly common path, although I do know some other people that have taken that path. Most companies hire people with a lot of experience, typically from an engineering background or from some kind of project management experience within the institution. But for me, I really just took a step back in my career a little bit, I took a pretty junior role at Wayfair in order to break into the industry.
