Children and Young People Are at Risk From Loot Boxes
Previous research found clear links between loot boxes and gambling. Consumer groups across Europe branded them exploitative in May. Report's authors heard one young man's experience of loot boxes looking back to when he was 11 years old. Children told us that whilst they enjoy collecting these items from loot boxes, they also feel frustration, anger, shame and crucially regret at many of their purchases.
