The Importance of Receiving Holy Communion
Voltaire said, commit a bunch of mortal sins and then keep receiving Holy Communion. That will cure you of this pinprick of conscience that tells you that you've done something wrong. And tragically, I think the story is that he commits grave sins, mortal sins, and then continues to receive Holy Communion until his conscience has been deadened. His conscience has been so numb to that it was destroyed. It's all about where am I at? Where am I called to do, where am I call to repent of my sins and go to confession?
