The Three Mechanical Button on the iPhone 3G and 3GS

It is tiny and not I don't know what I was expecting. In my mind, they were going to use the kind of all in one volume button that rocked back and forth like they did way back on like the iPhone 3G and 3GS. Although looking at this design, it is dawned on me. If they're all three separate buttons, they can't be the same size because you wouldn't know where you were just by touch. But it's kind of puny looking. It isn't just one button. This is three separate buttons. How did you get in it?
