Christmas, a Christian Festival

In tudor times, right up to christmas eve, it was a long, long fast. Was not about eating chocolates out of calendars. And then their christmas went on wright into the sixth of january - by which time we re all in the german back at work and generally miserable. Richard harris has gone back over the literature, the poetry and the plays and novels of the twentieth century to try and re establish their christian roots.
