Is There a Way to Test Payment of Flights?

When you're doing your into in testing, I do recommend like, all right, go ahead and do all of that on the UI. But when you're testing like a certain piece, like maybe I want to just test check out. That's when you start kind of using what I call code scenes. So is there a way that I maybe can make an API call or something to essentially get my app into the testable state that I want to test? And I feel like that's where people go wrong with front end testing is you're doing too much on the front end.
