There's a lot of different ways to value nature. It could be more spiritual things, or it could be more economic,. Things like polination and that sort of thing. Research is really focused on this sort of way because it's quite easy for policy makers to understand. But by focusin on this of economic valuation, this report has found that it can be harmful to people and the environment.

The evolution of ‘warm bloodedness’ allowed mammals to live in a more diverse range of habitats, but working out when this occurred has been difficult. To try and pin down a date, researchers have studied the fossilised remains of ancient mammals' inner ears, which suggest that this key evolutionary leap appeared around 230 million years ago.
