The Cyclic Theory of Civilization

Ibn Khaldun's theory of civilization says that all great empires start with a nomadic people and then when they kind of have to take on this task of ruling they settle down. He also argues that the purest people the origin of humans is the nomad who has unfettered goodness strength moral strength as well as physical strength. When we settle particularly when we settle in cities we become weaker we become more corrupted and it's an inevitability, he writes.
