I think that when we put forward analyses that suggest that enormous problems can be resolved by sleight of hand or simply if the aggressor stops committing aggression, we're kidding ourselves. My point, really, Alex, is that we can be radical and nuanced and complex at the same time. It's not a binary. I'm often reminded of what Susan Sontag said after 9-11. Let's by all means be radical, but let's not be stupid.
