How to Measure Component Pressures for Esterotomy

Do you rely on measuring compartment pressures, or is it more of a clinical diagnosis? No, it's definitely a clinical diagnosis. For escharotomy, we do measure in the eye. If you think you clinically have compartment syndrome, I would err on the side of releasing the compartment. The danger there is really inexperienced providers will sometimes cut very deeply into the tissue almost down to fascia and that can be challenging to reconstruct later.
