Is an Inky a Registration?
Inky is not an endorsement of an ingredient safety or acceptability for use in a cosmetic. The applicant has to do their own safety testing. If it's a bioactive, they don't need to submit efficacy data to us. We don't take that into account. It's how the ingredient is made and the purity of the ingredient as to what the name is given. That all falls under the applicant because the FDA mandates whatever you put on the market has to be safe.
