Is There a Case for Recognizing Different Things When We Argue?
I think there is a case for recognizing in that explicit way the different things that we do when we argue. So debate and certainly a trial is aimed at getting a resolution, right? But some arguments, actually, the aim is not to get a resolution. And I sometimes have this with my partner, it's just saying, we're actually not coming to a decision at the end of this discussion. It may well be that all the associations of a trial and those kinds of things are hard to translate in whole. We can make room for many different kinds of conversation in our lives.
