In India, the Landholding Is in the Name of the Family

Most people have very small landholdings, so it is not able to take. People of one person alone, one adult, is what that land can at best employ. So the old, the infirm and the women work in India's agriculture. The labor comes from outside - cotton picking, sugar cane pickers -- just like any other casual labor. And most of the agricultural labor have another side of their life, which is the construction labor.
