The Importance of References in Django

So Fastly is kind of, I think, a reverse varnish cache. They have a global CDN network of nodes that kind of run in front of our applications servers. So when you make an API call to butter, 99.9% of the time, you're actually just going to get the cache payload back from your nearest node. And so majority of traffic doesn't even hit the application server. These response times are really fast, 50 milliseconds or less.
