COVID - A Disruption of the Problem of Inequality
I don't think you would find a mainstream political party willing to say that inequality was not important. In part the reason we had, we in the UK and in England and Wales, particularly had a bad pandemic is a lot to do with the inequalities that existed in our society before COVID. The World Economic Forum at one point had it listed as top of their list of future problems. And so if we had been a more equal society with fewer health inequalities, social economic inequalities, we would not have had such abad pandemic. That's an important lesson, I think, as we think about building back and the future.
