The idea of retaining that there's grayness is very scary, because then how do you categorize that in the atobilal trusting of your environment? I think some of luke's trama starts from thinking it more about the family aspect of things. So automatically you start out in a place where you don't have an attachment to anyone, and you have to let go of that.
