What Is Tulip Mania?

Tulip mania was not much different to today's influencers blowing money on things like rare sneakers, handbags and NFTs. The tulip market peaked in December 1636 and by February 1637 bulb wholesalers realized that people had lost interest. Within a few days Dutch tulip prices had fallen tenfold. In these bubbles you see extravagant hopes for easy riches being raised and then demolished in just a few months.
