There is a more philosophical reason why Shankara Charya keeps on harping. He says, with this knowledge of the identity of Atman and Brahman, Advaita Vedanta, you cannot think of combining it with rituals or with action. Even in dreams, you cannot combine them action and the knowledge of non-dualism because they are contradictory. Action depends upon real divisions in the world. When you have action, if you really want to talk about action, then you are, for example, in a Vedic ritual,. All of these are different and distinct entities. So time, space, this world, that world, differences between people, it is entirely of early affair
Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches the Mundaka Upanishad which one of the major Upanishads belonging to the Atharva Veda. Mundaka means ''shaved'' like a shaved head. The teachings revealed in this Upanishad are meant to leave the student clean, or shaved of the veil of ignorance. Indeed, the study of this Upanishad has been traditionally confined to the shaven-heads, or the sannyasins, who have renounced everything and devoted themselves exclusively to contemplation. The book consists of 64 Mantras (verses) split across Mundakas (parts) and Khandas (sections) as follows:
