The Trojan Horse and the End of the Trojan War

The death of Achilles is foretold several times in the Iliad. The Greek hero Odysseus had told them to build a hollow horse out of wood and to fill it with Greek warriors. This gave us the term Trojan horse, which refers to something that undermines an opponent from within. Even though the Trojan horse was a clever ruse, some later writers considered it deceitful and dishonest.
