What's Involved in God's Bringing About Our Meritorious Acts?
There are popular ways of thinking about God's action and bringing about some effect that I think don't escape this scheme that would preclude free will. If we want to if we want to preserve the idea that God brings about our meritorious acts in a way that they're still free, then we need it when we think about God’s action. The prior divine decree model is handy sometimes just to give names to things so when the prior divine decree models come up you can look at them too.
