The Direction of Mortgage Rates Throughout the Tightening Cycle

I think there is more of a chance that we're going to see mortgage rates go up than go down. I'm talking about 25, 50 basis points, not anything like the experience that we went through in the first half of 2022. No investor business should be making a plan assuming that mortgage rates are going to be a lot lower one or two years from now.
