The Ethical Side of Evolution

I think about humans as a reluctant to use the word pinnacle of evolution, because it's not. I don't really see it that way, but kind of, in our evolutionary history, this moment that we're at now where we can contemplate the workings of the cosmos is incredible. When you look at all the other biological kind of mammals that are closest cousins even, it's amazing what humans can do. People were outraged by Edward Wilson's book, Consilience, which essentially argued everything was biology. And so, there seems to be something, and in my experience with people about evolutionary psychology, they've found that troubling.
