The Metaphor of Graffiti
A chunk of the Berlin Wall at the DC Museum has a Killroy tagged on it. One of my favorite pieces of ancient graffiti that I saved for this comes from a tomb in Israel. And it basically echoes exactly what Faulkner said. He actually used this metaphor multiple times through this series. When someone asked about Dostoevsky, Faulkner says he was one that really good Killroy was here.
