The History of the Sandwich Islands
Captain Cook was killed by the islanders in a dispute over a stolen canoe. In 1820 Christian missionaries from New England Arrived in Hawaii and it changed everything because their goal of course was to convert The native Hawaiians to Christianity. They brought printing presses they brought more technology, but that wasn't all what else did they bring to Hawaii? King Kamehameha ended up uniting all of the islands together for the first time after adopting a system modeled on Britain's constitutional monarchy.
