In 19 69 was the year that the culture war went kinectic. After nixon's election and widespread racial violence of the previous year, the police were finally let off the leash on the black panther party. The new york has always had its own flavor of radicalism, going all the way back to marcus garvey even before him. And surprisingly, not it was yorkers that took things to the next level in early 69.
