Planning Systems - A Short Footnote
Planning systems seem likely to be economically and politically extremely useful. An AI that could make and execute plans for a goal is more likely to have a significant impact on the world than one that cannot. We may find that planning is difficult to avoid as we create more sophisticated systems. For example, some have argued that being an excellent planner and having advanced capabilities to carry out any plans created is the best way of achieving any task.
