The Doppler Effect on Mirror

Using spectra, we measure the motion in the plane of the sky using proper motion. And thanks to trigonometry, we can figure out the three dimensional motion of these objects. We have this really cool kinematic picture because you have a star flying through the galaxy, shedding material, crashing into material and we can see all of this going on.
