The Effects of Non-St Elevation on the Heart
The patient has non-ST elevation EKG changes, but they may be attributable to something chronic and longstanding. The spontaneous resolution of chest pain markedly reduces the probability of pulmonary embolism and aortic dissection. So I think the working diagnosis in real life would be is this patient having unstable angina? Is this patient having hypertension and its consequences on the heart? Or is this patient merely a person who has risk factors for badness but has a benign cause?
