The Virtue of Seriousness
I was going to ask you about a, about the Greek word spudios. You know, Aristotle sometimes talks about people being serious. And so, but I'm just curious, can you elaborate a little bit on the virtue of seriousness? Sure. So I actually was not thinking about spudios when I wrote about seriousness,. I was thinking about the Latin word that's in a guston and contrasted with curiosis - it's seeking out stimulation or entertainment for its own sake without regard to its contents.
