Bond and the German Code Books
Fleming was determined to get his hands on German code books. He refurbish one of these Nazi bombers and train British commandos to fly it. Then have the repaired plane join a squadron of real German bombers returning from a raid over southern England. At a certain point, the crew would activate fireworks hidden in the wings to simulate engine trouble. And then fake a crash landing at sea somewhere off the coast of France. Once they reached the crew, Fleming's commandos would throw off their disguises, assassinate their rescuers and steal the German codebooks.
