CHAPTER

Making a Concept

When someone has tinnitus and they hear the frequency of sound that they've in their head, that's also something very equivalent to prediction. So that's what you're doing when you have a song going through your head that you cannot get out of your head no matter what you do. That is the same process, nearly, as a prediction or making a concept. The way that your brain makes concepts is what we would call generative or meaning your brain can take bits and pieces of past experience and combine it in new ways so that you can experience something that you've never experienced before.
