Learning a Foreign Language Is a Challenge for the Education Systems
Why is it that certain skills, like the ability to learn a musical instrument, for example, or athletic capabilities, our ability to do those things seem to diminish with time? Like, what does brain science show us about that? Why is that it's so much easier to learn a foreign language when you're a little kid? Well, that's mostly related to the plasticity of the brain. You have these minds which are capable of being directednd nurtured, but they don't necessarily have the ability to direct their attention anywhere they may even want to. So this is a constant push and pull that teachers and educators and students will always be facing.
