The Importance of Diversity in Emoji Submission
Yuying and Jennifer became familiar with emoji submissions. They began to question why had there been no dumpling emoji before their involvement. Dumplings are very universal, Georgia will have concale, Japan has gyoza,. Italy have ravioli, pierogi and panadas all these things. The friends began to think that the current system needed to be more democratic. It's only voting members of the Unicode consortium who decide which new ones to accept. Most of them are representatives of the big US tech firms.
