The Importance of UN Agreements on Biodiversity

Every two years, Rebecca Shaw publishes a report called the LPI, or the Living Planet Index. The most recent one shows a 69% decline in monitored vertebrate species since 1970. Restoring biodiversity is a goal in its own right, and it can also have positive impacts for the climate. I wanted to hear from Rebecca about the significance of these UN agreements and how they actually can be implemented.
