Even in the best of possible worlds for either the yimbi side or the nimbi side of this split, you're still leaving all of the contradictions of the commodification of space and commodifying shelter. And yeah, I mean, they just don't care because why would they? You know, landlords are evil and stupid. That's all you really need to know because they can do whatever they want. If somebody's paying for it, they got away with it. And like, that's it. And you have to pay for it because otherwise, you know, you can't do all the nice, lovely things that enable you to reproduce your labor.
