The fall of the ottoman empire has continued to resonate right down to a century later. There are still things that we can point down, point out to, let's say, that this dee ant whichs has influenced the world as we know it now. So you can imagine a world in which the empire had survived. You don't think that these centrifugal forces that were pulling it apart were unstoppable. It's one of those counterfactuals that is fund o ponder. But of course, it's ultimately meaningless.
