The Constraints of Being a Global Currency

The average American doesn't care what the value of his currency is on a global stage. But if you go to almost any other country, everybody except the very poor, under the end understands what is happening in terms of exchange rates. And that's one of the things that the United States government and the Federal Reserve has been able to do. They can manipulate the value or they can allow the value to be, to fluctuate massively; nobody really cares.
