The Different Causes of Pulmonary Hemorrhage

Pulmonary hemorrhage is usually seen in patients with congenital heart disease. It can also be seen in neonates secondary to sepsis, HIE and persistent pulmonary hypertension. Lupus and polyarthritis nodosa account for majority of vasculitis resulting in pulmonary hemorrhage. focal pulmonary hemorrhage can occur due to foreign body aspiration which is typically chronically retained.
