The Importance of Personal Voice in Deaning
I want to sort of shift a little bit and talk about editing for a little bit. That's the other way I characterize being a dean is it's like a editor. And, and, Deaning is a very similar thing. Essentially, a good editor is helping take a piece of writing and have it shine. It's sort of furnishing off the edges that don't work. The same thing when you're a dean, it's trying to enable your faculty to shine.
