When you're in the freelance mode, then it's more like you need more business skills. You could end up working on something for years that never sees the light of day and you can't really tell anyone about it. A lot of stuff's locked under NDA so it might not come out for a year or two or at all. At the end of the day, you're paying your bills. You're doing what you love to do.
