I don't have a sense of national pride. I am grateful to be an american, and i think there's a meaningful distinction between being grateful for soetong you didn't do. Why doesn't your individual focused argument appli to nationalism? I don't see. And if you give too many details on the map with it is like trying to imagine yourself beyond the confines of immutable characteristic or heredity what they imagine as ther sort of shared efinicity. Proximity matters a great deal but that's just it. People can do this on the basis of attiscity rather than Athnicity. But this is the last thing i'll say on this race issue
