Two days before he was brutally attacked, he was sentenced to six and a half years for firearms defences in dublin circuit criminal court. When he was caught and fingrless last october it was believed he was on his way to carry out aa shooting against a notorious fingerless criminal. But he got six and ahalf years on wednesday for that offence - which would be his most serious air running with the law.
