Is God the King of the Wedding Feast?

The Sadducees do not believe in life after death. They think the whole thing's a joke, which is why they're sad, you see. Jesus silences the Pharisees because the depth of his teaching here exceeds anything that they could have expected from him. The idea is that God makes his kingship known by having images of themselves all over their kingdom.
