The Rise of Helicopter Parenting
Parenting styles have obviously really varied over time. From the beginning of the twentieth century, that attitude is kind of like children are seen and not heard. The helicopter parenting style came about in the eighties because of stranger danger. It was a huge moral panic when there were cases of children being kidnapped and murdered.
