The Conscious Process of Overeating

In Buddhist retreats mindful eating is a part of the retreat. It's to really notice the whole process of eating but in the instructions for mindful eating it doesn't always include all the layers that are truly below the line that need attention so there I was and I was supposed to be eating mindfully which means on retreats people eat very slowly because they're doing it in silence. But then I started noticing how much I wanted to eat faster and more than everyone else. This became a conscious process bringing above the line after I joined a spiritual community.
