Biden: Two major changes that happened in all the negotiations were two big favors to private equity. The carried interest loophole allows, you know, hedge fund managers to basically take the money that they receive from from the market, but not have it taxed at a normal rate. And then the second was this amendment that was passed on sunday, introduced by senator john thone,. which exempted private equity businesses from the 15 % minimum tax rate for large businesses.
