Is Stand Up Comedy Guaranteed to Be Successful?

stand up comedy is trying to master something that we all have plenty of evidence to know is completely unmasterable. We've all had them, where you feel like, oh, right now i'm in this groove with this audience and these jokes,. But that can go away the next night, or the next joke - so maybe if it was guaranteed to be successful, maybe the challenge of it would go away, and it wouldn't be as interesting. Yes, maybe i could just feel like they're all laughing patronizingly at you seen. Or is this with the devil i've made? I mean, i guess there is a difference in perspective there, isn't it? Like,
