Keeping Time With Incense Clocks
The most amazing example of a sensor for incense is that of the incense clock, as it's often referred to in English. These artifacts date back at least to the sixth century when a poet by the name of Yu Jan Wu wrote: "By burning incense we know the o'clock of the night" It almost looks like, I don't know, it symbolizes that the duck is making a sound or something.
