Athens Must Stand
A few days later, the spartans announced theyhave made a decision. In recognition of the great services it had done in the past for greece, athens would be allowed to stand. The terms of the peace require that athens readmit all its political exiles and take down their long walls. Thereafter, they are to be left to govern their own affairs according to their ancestral constitution. They are to be allies of sparta, sharing the same enemies and friends.
